Welcome to The Tipsy Laird

Following a recent refurbishment, the Tipsy Laird, located in Kingussie, the traditional capital of Badenoch, has been transformed into a cozy, traditional village pub, family & dog friendly, complete with comfy armchairs around the fire and an extensive menu featuring freshly cooked dishes created by our Head Chef, Malcolm Mapplebeck. Malcolm insists on sourcing the freshest, quality local produce for all of his dishes, whilst still maintaining affordable prices for our customers.

For those looking for accommodation for the night, the Tipsy Laird also has a 27 bed bunk house offering low cost, basic shared rooms.

So whether you’re on a relaxing holiday to take in the ‘Monach of the Glen’ country or are a thrill seeker after an adventure, Kingussie is the perfect base and the Tipsy Laird is the perfect pub. We have a large range of tap beers & local ales on offer, as well as an extensive selection of Malt Whiskies just waiting for you to sample them! Fancy a wee bite to eat? Until 5pm there is a snack menu on offer with filled, freshly baked baguettes & the full menu runs all day from opening until 9pm – a copy of the menu is available for viewing under the ‘Food’ section.

During the summer, our beer garden is the ideal location to quench that afternoon thirst. Featuring several large tables and a huge garden area, why not bring the whole family down on a Sunday afternoon (dogs are more than welcome!) and enjoy some lunch and a few drinks in the sunshine?

Most weekend nights during the summer season there is entertainment on, ranging from Karaoke to local bands. See our ‘Events’ page for details of upcoming entertainers. In the winter look out for our meal deals & event nights, details to follow closer to the time.
